Alternator connector, need help finding part-photo included

whats the condition of the rest of the alt. might be better in the long run to get the GM 1 wire

I recommend taking it to a alternator/starter rebuild shop. sorry, A old boat with low hours generally has the the same service issues as a old boat with more hours,
low hours only relates to ware not corrosion or age related problembs.

The alternator was working fine, i just decided to do some maintenance work on the boat. thanks for the reply

hours of usage mean nothing. hours of time is the key. the alternator is almost 40 years old, and has a bit of corrosion

manual 3 has a pic of that alt but I have been around these motor since the 70`s and have never seen that type of GM alt.The 4 wire ones have the plug/wires coming from the rear of the spark screen

The alternator is and was running fine, the points on the alternator look brand new after scrubbed them down with some emery cloth and fine grit sand paper, even the male contacts are still thick. The only part that is corroded beyond repair is the female connector in the pic. Thanks for your reply :)

I have already rigged it up with two connectors from lowes and sealed it up with silicone, working like a champ.
