Neil,<br />My 170c had a Bosch unit on it when I purchased my boat.<br />Valeo is used on later engines which is what I have installed now.<br />Yours probably had a Motorola or Paris Rhone unit originally.<br />The good thing is the mountings are standard on most units so look around your marine salvage yards for something suitable.<br />Just make sure that whatever you use is either fitted with the gauze screen on the rear or has a sealed brush holder to prevent sparks igniting any fumes in the bilge.<br /><br />Peter
