Alternator output of 1975 Evinrude 75 hp Hustler

Does anyone know the Alternator output of a 1975 Evinrude 75 hp Hustler. I was looking into a Minn Kota on board DC battery charger and it says it needs a min of 12 Amps to work off of.

The alternator puts out 6 amps at WOT. Don't even think it will supply enough juice to power a trolling motor. Well let's put it this way, a battery is like a bucket, you only get out of it what you put in it. If you take 12 amps out for one hour, you have to put 6 amps back in for two hours. And that doesn't account for the energy lost in heat, etc.
