Alternator

I am in the process of installing a new motor in my 1990 Sea ray Sundancer. It has the 7.4 L big block motor in it. I can’t seem to remember how to hook up my alternator so if somebody can chime in and let me know if I did it correctly according to the manual, I would greatly appreciate it

If you have find the identification marks for the terminals on the regulator, here's how they should be wired..

Red/Purple is 'hot' (always ON when the battery switch is ON)
Purple is switch 12v (On when the key is ON)

OK so according to my picture all I have to do a swap the purple with the red/purple

You need to identify the terminals. There'll be a letter next to each. S for the sense and E for the excitation. Go by the letter, not a picture. I posted the picture to indicate which wire goes on which terminal (according to the indentifying letter)...
