I live in Ireland, one of the worlds windyest countrys and have recently purchased a sea nymph 16ft deep v aluminium boat and find it to be great as a stable lure fishing platform and excellent for A to B and static deadbait fishing, but will it troll with a side breeze, will it hell. is there anything bow mounted available to keep the nose straight in a side wind? ???

Sure, they sell trolling motors with a built in compass, you set your heading and the troller will hold the heading for you, making up for wind and current.
Didn't know you could get a Sea-Nymph in Ireland, interesting as those are made about 15 miles from where I am in Indiana, at least they were till OMC went under.

Ayuh,.......

Keeping a tinboat running reasonably straight in the wind is a Real Chore,.....

I've found that running a set of Drift Socks off the forward cleats Helps considerably........
They'll slow you down enough that you can bump the throttle for Better control....
But,....
It's Still a constant battle to hold a line.....

Do as your ancestors did with corraks and other small craft. Add ballast. We use cinder blocks this side of the pond as good granite or balsite is hard to find.

When a V is down in the water it will drift like a round hull.

You Irish were in the water long before any of us Yanks!
