aluminum boat paint

I have a 16 foot lowe, i have done some welds on the boat after having a few cracks due to a careless friend. anyway i did the repairs and now my boat looks like a dalmation anyone know any paints that will stick to aluminum i have tried paints in the past and they all seem to peel off. thanks in advance!!

the paint is less important than the primer.... I suggest washing the hull with works toilet bowl cleaner and then wiping down with acetone..... after that use a good self etching primer and the paint of your choice

painting Aluminum is not too bad but the tough part is the prep work to do correctly-check out some of the restoration threads- you'll find all you need to know and then some. good luck.

Go to the auto body supply house and tell them you painting a rover:

thanks for the input im going to look around and get at it this winter seeing as how it wont be long before the ice starts coming down the river.
