Aluminum Cleaning-oxidation

At the end of each season I usually clean my toons with toon-brite. The stuff works great getting all the crap off the toons. It does leave them a bit dull, and I don't want to polish, but my rails and other aluminum is starting to show some oxidation....turning almost a white tint. Anyone used anything good to wash and clean the rails with? The first thing that came to my mind was soap and a soft dish washing scrub pad...but I thought that might leave scratch marks. Any thoughts or ideas that people have used and worked let me know. Thanks

don't use a scratch pad it will leave marks or dull it even more. get a really good liquid aluminum polish and a buff wheel for cars if you can get it in the areas to be buffed or hand buff it out with a softer rag with the polish.
aluminum will always oxidize when it hits the air so you really have no choice but to polish if you want it to look good again but it will only look good for awhile unless you do it 3-4 times a year. only thing to stop it is to get the aluminum clear coated to seal it.
