Aluminum ear broke

Theres a aluminum ear that my cowl(engine cover) fits down on and bolts to and its broke off. Iv tried JB weld with no luck and i also tried fiberglass resin but it wont hold either. anyone got anything else i may try to fix it back? its made onto a huge piece that's bolted to engine so no way to weld or braise it unless its all removed.

you didn't state engine size, if it's one with 3 locks, 2 will hold it. if not you may have to figure a way to bolt a piece of metal to the lower cowl and a screw thru the top.
