I have an insteresting one, and maybe this is normal. I bought my boat (in my sig) and it came with a stainless installed and a spare aluminum. The staninless prop runs smooth all the way up to top RPM. The aluminum one does not, I can hear and feel a high speed almost like a orbital sander type vibration throughout the rpm range. I had it rebalanced as it looked ok to start with. Still vibrates so I put the stainless back on.

I would like to run aluminum for saftey of the drive, but why does the aluminum vibrate?

Should I waste money on a new one to try?

The most obvious answer would be that the aluminum one is damaged somehow. Possibly bent or out of balance.

Ford, there are many reasons that can cause that but it could be that the hub is off center in the prop, and since you had a prop shop balance it that would be my best guess, because they should have seen any blade problems.
