Am i correct on year

Ok her is the model of my out board 120 hp i bought.

CJ120TLCDC I believe it is an 1986. If i am right would this be the Vro2. Any info on these is great

Just wondering if someone can clarify the VRO on the 1986 120. Was this the original or the Vro2. Thanks

That is the small bore(2.7 liter) looper and 1986 was the first year of the Vro2, as it should have the alarm module and harness on the rear of it.These engines run good from mid range and up but always suffered idling problems due to bad design of carbs, The late model "small bore 200hp carbs & throttle plates with adjustable needle will make one idle pretty smooth....
