Am I missing something? Trying to remove prop shaft from Yamaha 15 2-stroke

I couldn't find a video on how to do this for my motor but the one I found for a 40 horse sure looked similar. Home made puller. So far, no "action". I've been sweating some lube using heat around it, before and after trying to pull. Feels like the eye bolts might just be opening up, no sign of an gap on the outer ring. This is the correct "force" to apply, right? It is an older 2-stroke, certainly some corrosion (one of the bolts on the retainer snapped off).

Thanks,
BB

Hmmm, interesting. If you look at the exploded parts diagram, it would appear that I'm applying force in the correct principle. I first though about doing it the way they did (pulling on the shaft instead of the carrier) but another video sent me down the path I took but it was for a Yammy 40. I have another one on a T-8 I need to do (two broken skegs) and I might just take them to a pro. I'm not sure I can rig up something to pull on the prop shaft.

Thanks,
BB

some use a slide hammer screwed on the the prop shaft and some heat on the case to remove the shaft and carrier.

On my brothers C60 I used a piece of plywood with a hole in it, plus a bunch of spacers and washers to screw a nut onto the shaft pulling against the housing to break the carrier and shaft loose
