William Clay Ford-Father of Bill Ford-recently passed.

William Clay Ford, who helped steer Ford Motor Company into the modern era as an employee, director and influential member of the Ford family, died this morning at his home from pneumonia.

Mr. Ford, 88, served as Director Emeritus, Ford Motor Company and was the last surviving grandchild of the company’s founder, Henry Ford.

Mr. Ford served Ford Motor Company for 57 years as an employee and board member.

The Ford Family is truly grieving. He was the last that truly remembered "Henry".

He made clear that Ford, was a family owned Company, and made the hard choices, a few years ago.

On the upside-Ford is 100% US owned, GM is healthy via re-structure. Chrysler/Dodge is now wholly Fiat (Italy)owned.

Mr. Fords steadfastness, in seeing his Grandfathers dream remain, have kept the Company whole. Tough choices.

A true Gentleman. I applaud him for keeping Ford-HERE!

While Ford is truly Worldwide Company, the "fruits of the efforts" retiurn to the U.S.
