All you people on the east coast.<br />Just happened this am.<br />Keep an eye out.<br />_______________________________________________<br /><br />By WSAZ NewsChannel 3<br />WSAZ-TV<br />Updated: 1:20 p.m. ET Feb. 24, 2004Feb. 24 - An Amber Alert has been released issued on a missing 14-year-old girl from Wayne County.<br /><br />Shaunita Renee Neace was reported missing Tuesday morning by her parents, who last saw her last night at their home.<br /><br />Neace is described as a 5'6", 240-pound white girl with brown hair and green eyes.<br /><br />West Virginia State Police believe she may be with Michael Christopher Shackett.<br /><br />Shackett is a white male with brown eyes who stands about 5'9" to 6'.<br /><br />Police say the two are believed to be traveling in a blue, two-door, 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier with New York license plate<br /><br />CBL-3525 and could be headed to New York.<br /><br />State Police have already received one report that the two were spotted at a Lincoln County convenience store Tuesday morning.<br /><br />Shackett's age and his relationship with the girl is unknown, but investigators believe the two communicated over the Internet.<br />Any info call 304-528-5555<br />Abduction Hotline

The Hargon family thats missing in Vaughan, MS still hasn't been found. I live not far from them. I know other members of the family personally. Please keep these folks in your prayers.

henry,<br /><br />What is the talk there about what happened to this poor family. It sure is weird.<br /><br />You would think if it was an abduction the athorities would have heard from someone by now.<br /><br />Then again maybe they have and are not releasing that info.

There's lots of speculation on things but the authorities have been real tight lipped until this week. They are having press conferences everyday trying to bring the public up todate with information. Other enforcement agencies have gotten involved such as the Dept. Wildlife, Bureau of Narcotics, MDOT Enforcement Agency, FBI. For a week it was treated as a missing persons case but to me that really diidn't make sense because enven though there was no forced entry into the home, there were signs of struggle and violence in the home, bullet holes in walls, foot prints in beds, bullet holes in the inside of the door of his truck.....why they treated it as a missin person initially is a myth to me. Bloodhounds Florida were brought in a week after the fact. THe Madison Country Sherrifs department has trackin dogs....why didin't they bring them in right away??? I'm no law man just have lots of questions.

Yea missing person my big butt.<br />You don't go off and leave your son's medication that he needs ever day behind for sure.<br />And the blood and the bullett holes they found.<br /><br />Someone dropped the ball on this one for sure.

All missing children are reported as needing their medication. The authorities have used this technique to the point it is like crying wolf.<br /><br />From what I have seen in the news, I get the gut feeling something is really, wrong with this. There are overwhelming odds this family was not picked at random. Either the husband has a deep, dark secret or the wife didn’t shake a previous jilted lover, or …

I don't know the young woman's family or enough about her past to comment on 18rabbit's post but I do know the Hargon family personally and this guy had both feet planted firmly on the ground....all in the world he wanted in life was to provide a good life for his family....he worked hard at doing it.

Maybe it is tied to the death of his father 10 years ago.<br />The house they lived in was converted from the store his dad was killed in.<br />The 2 guys were due up for parole shotly and the family had planned on going to see that they did not get out early.<br />Don't know, but it don't look good whatever the reason.

What kills me is when the police say there is no evidence of forced entry.<br /><br />So What!!!!!<br /><br />So there door was unlocked while they were home.<br /><br />How many people barracade them selves in their home. Especialy in a neighborhood they trust.<br /><br />My doors are never locked while at home while we are awake.<br />When going to bed for the night I make sure everything is locked but thats it.<br /><br />I'm sure most other people do the same.<br /><br />So just because there was no forced entry doesnt mean something bad didnt happen.<br /><br />I dont know whay law enforcement put so much weight into the whole forced entry thing.

Spinner, you're correct about all that. I certainly hope that the authorities are keeping a close eye on those three guy that killed his daddy, their families and their associates. Just the fact that the family is missing and there are two up for parole ought to be enough to keep them in jail. These guys being up for parole brings another question...they killed someone while robbing his store...isn't that a capital offense??? Why are they even up for parole anyway??

Yea ef, I thought it was anytime you killed while committing a felony.<br />Armed robbery is/was a felony I think.<br /><br />And 18rabbit, it was not the authorities saying this, it was the family.<br />Like I said, someone dropped the ball on this one.<br /><br />Just like the Ramsey case in Colorado. Man what a farce that was/is.

This is my thoughts based on what little I have heard about this tragedy:<br /><br />People that target a child as their victim are weak and want nothing to do with adults. The child is not likely the target but is caught up in this tragedy and taken along for the ride. Either or both adults are probably the target(s).<br /><br />Between 20 and 30 percent of adult victims are selected at random; the perp(s) does not know them. That’s why I said there are overwhelming odds (70-80%) this family was not picked at random. Outside of predominately Asian communities, the likelihood of a family to be targeted in/at their home is sooooooo rare. I’m thinking either husband OR wife was the target, not both.<br /><br />When a wife is the victim, the husband is involved 90% of the time. It is not uncommon for any children to become victims, too. Almost all serial killers in the US are white males, 25-35 years old. From what I have seen/heard so far, nothing about this tragedy impresses me as the husband’s doing. Because multiple people and violence are involved, it may be someone that knows her intimately, or at least thinks they do.<br /><br />Not likely the wife is involved in anything against her husband because the child is involved. If the wife did have something to do with this, she is likely on the run with the child. For the husband to be targeted, he had to really **** someone off to have his whole family pulled into this. Gambling debts, sex addiction/porn connections…<br /><br />To target both husband & wife, my immediate thoughts go to a Witness Protection Program failure, an attempt to silence participation in parole hearings for anyone not already paroled, wife’s jilted lover, or the whole family is to be made an example for something dark in the husband’s background. I’m presuming no one was in Witness Protection.<br /><br />Any parolees would be immediate targets of the police investigation. I am guessing there would have been forensic evidence already found at the scene that would at least point in the general direction of one of these guys, triggering an ever more aggressive investigation. I don’t think there is a link to past crimes involving the father, IF the perps of the previous crime are already paroled.<br /><br />Fwiw, past the 2-week mark the odds of having survived abduction drop to almost nil for a child, lower for adults.
