How much in volume is a good safe amount for Loctite 518 sealant needed for about 2 full attempts to seal the crankcase of a V4 crossflow?

A 50ml tube sufficient?

Just to make sure, primer is not necessary correct?

About a 1/8" bead of sealer is needed.-----Not sure why some folks think you need to smear it all over !!------It is a METAL TO METAL joint.---Proper cleaning and preparation are needed.------Most if not all of the sealer should squeeze out.

Yes you need the primer.....clean and wipe down sealing surfaces with a acetone base cleaner, let air dry for 10 min, apply primer per instructions, apply gel-seal and assemble. Once fitted do not stop for any reason(even phone) till all bolts are installed and torqued to spec.

Just to repeat the important question, how much in a tube (mL/fluid ounces) does it take to do a job sufficiently?

This is the only question I have outstanding currently.
