take the clip off, then wiggle and pull. the pins are moled in, and not replacable. if the pins are bad, you can use bullet connectors on each wire, or wire direct to motor.

Servicing the Amphenol Connectors is generally covered in the "Ignition System" section of your service manual.

Re: amphenol connectors

In order to remove the power head I have to disconnect the black lead(kill switch) from the amphenol connector. A set or amphenol connector/dissconect tools cost about 100 bucks aftermarket. Mabey I can keep the wires connect to the powerhead and just lean it up to acess the driveshaft and shifting rod connector. Mabey I can disconnect ther kill switch wires from the tiller handle. Any ideas.

or clip it and use a bullet connector to reconnect, they are used all the time.

Re: amphenol connectors

I've pulled the rubber OMC plugs apart before - a little WD-40 in the plug and work it around and the wire with tip should pull out. I have a DULL ice-pick that I use to push the pin back into the connector. Seat the tip at the base of the pin where the wire coating meets it and push. Again, a little WD-40 may aid things along...
