as everyone knows ive been having some weird probs out of my 71 johnson 60hp well i finally checked my the amp on it after two ppl came to buy it at the same time and it wouldnt start so i finally broke down and tested it. when the key is in the on position i could hear a slight ticking noise coming from it with the motor not running. but anyways i saw on here someone had converted their motors over to an auto coil with ballast resistor and condensor i saw where cletis234 did it and i was wondering if his was still running ok with it and the points are still good. i was also wondering what coil and from what year and make car to get it from i didnt want im just looking for something cheap just to make it run til i can sell it lol i just want this boat gone so i can get back to work on my other boat lol thanks for any help you guys can give its definately appreciated
