Re: An Electricians Nightmare

My good buddy got a call one night from the Partner in Charge of our Office and told to meet him at the airport in the AM to meet with a big client. He called me that night to let me know becuase he was working with me at the time.

Long story short, I get an email later that day with a picture just like that. It was a data closet of a Fortune 500 company that had a major crash and lost important data they could not recover.

I got him back about 3 months later. ;)

That photo reminds me of a carpet job I had to do this past fall at the educational service center, the main office of the school district. The tech department was in the process of moving and the rag tag server they had set up looked very similar to that.

We had to move the thing to finish the job. We managed to move it about one inch and some wires pulled out. The next thing we know the buisness manager is standing there glaring at us, We had shut down hundreds of computers in the district  You should of seen the look when I told him we did not know where they were plugged in, and that we had to move it some more :p Long story short 5 hours later the thing was back on line. As far as I know it still looks like that

That looks just like the image I get in my head every time I think about buying a baitcast reel.

Mellow, I have been under the floor of places like that doing bug jobs. Good lord, can you imagine having to crawl that entire space, trying not to get the spray hose nutted up in the wires, trying not to spray anything important. What part of "conduit" do these people not understand?

Hey JasonJ - you know that is literally where the term "bug" comes from - bugs eating the wires.

Now Spinner your going to have BubbaKat all worried here. You know he is my fishn Partner when we meet in May. I would advise all boats to keep a fair distance from me. I have been known to hit other boats and humans when I cast my gator lures..

MellowYellow don't believe them. Remember I promised your wife I would return you in same condition as when you left.. :D

Yeah, I have a $100 baitcasting rig, used it a couple of times, end result looked a LOT like that wiring mess, and that darn baitcasting rig is sitting in the garage. One of these days I'll figure out how not to mess it all up. I have tried the tensioner, all that junk and the end result is a tangled misery. Stupid fishing shows make 'em look like they are the cats arse. Oh well, In the meantime, my trusty spinning rig works just fine....

If you get tired of it Jason, just send it my way. That's all I use. :)

Re: An Electricians Nightmare

I just need to become more profficient at it. I am just so used to using spinner reels than the baitcaster has had a steep learning curve. I won't give up...
