Anchor Light drag on only battery

Planning on spending my first night on the water. Want to have the all around light on all night.... but, I also want to have enough left in the battery to start in the morning.. What do you old salts think?

I fish ALOT at night and my light (and the radio) stay on all night. I do however give it a full charge before I leave the house.

The first time you try it, pull the battery out of your truck and take it with you as a spare just in case. There is probably a more scientific way to do this, but this one will definatley work.

As an alternative (not sure what kind of light you have) but they now have LED lights out there such as this one or they even make replacement bulbs so you can change just the bulb and put in an LED one. They use 75 to 80% less energy and last a lot longer.

Thirty bucks gets you a jump start box at any auto store. Carry it with you to the jump the battery if necessary.

I would make sure to switch to the LED bulbs. The difference in current draw is huge.

Or install Dual Batteries, with a Switch....
