How long and how thick of a line I need to anchor 25ft fiberglass boat at 100-120ft of fresh water in maximum of 10 knots of wind or less?
Bottom i believe is sandy (lake Champlain)

Please forgive me if this has been already answered

What kind of conditions do you expect to anchor in? If you only plan on anchoring for an afternoon in good weather while people are swimming near the boat is substantially different than if you want a secure overnight anchorage. (granted, prudent measures say always plan for worst case, but 10:1 scope puts you at 1000 feet of line and 20-50 ft of chain.)

morning fishing conditions, no people swimming around, no whitecaps etc., that being said I still don't want to loose anchor and line :) planning to put 10-20 feet of chain just in case.

Those kinds of depths aren't all that practical for anchoring. Considering you are talking Lake Champlain (no current) I would suggest just drifting while fishing.

sounds good, i can always add i guess.....
i was reading about all those ratios such as 5:1 or 7:1 of line to depth and thought it's probably excessive to let 500 feet of line out for 100ft depth :))

5:1 in calm, 7:1 fairly std. 10:1 in a blow. You can hold at 2:1, however I wouldn't rely on it. Boats will commonly drag at much higher scopes. In that kind of depth, it would be a very slow drag and more than likely imperceptible.

Not to mention you would be very unpopular fishing in a crowd.

Pretty common to get 75-100 boat grouped up fishing structure close enough to have a conversation with the guys in the next boat. You would be very unpopular swinging a 500' radius...lol
