i'm new to this outboard use. used trolling motor on less than fifty acre lakes. now have a 9.9 outboard. theres around 6 or 7 pin holes where you tilt the motor while in shallow water i'm guessing. to get it to plain correctly where should i position this pin.

Re: angle of motor during use

gregs,
Trial and error. Start with the middle hole. If bow hangs up, try a hole nearer to the transom, 1 at a time and vise a versa. Weight in the boat will also make a difference. Gonna have to play with it to find your average zone.
Good luck,
Mike
PS,
motor height and position are also important. Mount the motor so the anti-cavitation plate is even or slightly above the bottom of the center of the hull at the transom and get it as close to the middle as possible.
