anodes on alum

i have a 81 grumman 15' alum (just got it) it has a anode on the motor or trim thing i was told that is one well i will be fishing in salt and was wondering do i need more it is a 50 hp merc and where to put more if i need them

1 annode should be enough. will you be storing in the water? on a lift? trailer? I personally wouldn't keep a boat in salt. I replace my annodes when they start to get thin.

on a trailer it does have a extended transom that is also alum i'll trust you guys cause it;s my first boat thanks

I only have the engine mounted annode or sacrificial zinc on both my boats. I run them 2-3x a week in nothing but salt water, they are trailer and lift kept and I have no issues. If you keep trailered you should not have to replace the one you have for quite a while.
