Another 1967 Glastron Project

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I had a question that I need answered.
I just bought a 67 glastron with the Volvo penta 3.0L, she's a beauty. We had it out this weekend and I couldn't get it passed 2200rmp in gear. After a compression test I now know why.
I've been calling around and if I do most the work myself I'm looking at a costly bill. SO, my question is will a motor from a 68 fit in. His outdrive is shot and my motor is shot, so I thought that would be the way to go.
My boat motor is a AQ 110/200 1967
He says his boat is 140hp Aqua Lift (from what I understand this is the hull design) so I'm guessing it's a AQ 140?
I emailed him to see if he has the numbers off his motor so I could compare
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome, yours is not a 3.0, but no matter. Aq 140 didn't come out until the late 70s, so I doubt that what the other guys got. Good luck.

Thanks for the response. I've been looking online for quite sometime now, and its really hard to find info on this motor.
Would anyone know if this motor would fit a aq110/200?
This boat has a bad outdrive like I mentioned. It's a 17hr round trip to get it, I just want to make sure it will work.
