Been an observer here for quite some time, learned alot of useful information.. This place is great!! As title says I have an alpha one in a 1999 Rinker with a 5.0 in it.. I just acquired this boat and of course the trim gauge isn't functioning, its pegged or near pegged in up position. I pulled apart the sender and its the newer style with the plastic disc and it was full of grey grease which looked like it came from grease that was put in through the pin grease fitting. Anyhow I cleaned it all up and had one question, I measure resistance across the two screws inside the sender itseef without the gear/disc in place and got about 85 ohms. This is with the wires all still connected. Is that normal? It has an analog gauge.
