A few weeks ago I won a SS prop on ebay. Was supposed to be a 10.5x11 in good usable condition "with one small nick"
When I received it and opened it up I was disgusted to say the least. First that little nick is a large nick that looks like there was an attempted repair using JB Weld. Also the defuser ring is missing and the prop had been poorly cut down and is now about 10x11.

I have taken this prop to a local shop that specializes in SS props and they told me that it is basically junk but could be made usable by cutting it down alittle more and adding a lot of cup to it. That is if while doing the repair it doesn't crack at the JB Weld spot. In which case it would have to be really welded again = more money.

I would like to post this sellers info but not certain I can at this point as I've sense filed a claim with PayPal. But I will post back with the results.

What'd the seller's feedback look like? No need to post his info here as we prefer no bashfests, but I am curious if his feedback should've warned you off in the first place . . .

Paypal should help in a situation that the item was not as described in the listing.
Good Luck!

Nope, nothing in their feedback to cause me to be alarmed. Seller had 100 positive feedbacks with 100% rating. I've bought from other sellers with much smaller feedbacks w/o incedents. Even alot of the feedback I read stated "good communications". Well I emailed the seller a couple times regarding this auction and didn't receive a reply until after I filed a dispute. Then that was only one time and I haven't heard from them sense.

Even at the bottom of the listing they stated "if there is a problem contact us".
I truely believe they new it was junk when they listed it and that is why they have not responed to my emails.

File a dispute...it should be resolved in your favor
I had a few disputes for junk item that were described improperly and everything turned out in my favor...hopefully you e-mailed the seller as soon as you opened it and were dissatisfied..

That stinks. Hope everything works out in your favor and all you lose is a little bit of time. (Even though that itself can be very frustrating!)
