Another Gelcoat Topic ?

When using a product like the 3M polishes it recomends using a buffer. <br /><br />Will a random orbital (wax) buffer work or should a high-speed buffer be used?<br /><br />I would feel safe using the random orbital buffer myself. I know that a highspeed buffer is used to finish auto paint jobs but it can burn paint if not used right.

I have used an orbital with the 3M Hull Restorer and wax but be prepared!!! You can spread it nice and work it allot but be prepared for ALLOT of hand rubbing and removing it with a cloth.<br /><br />Sore muscles, sweat and a bit of swearing.<br /><br />Kind of a labor of love. Tough work but worth every bit of it.<br /><br />Bob
