So ive got the 9.8 and going to put on the Carver soon, with a t4 panther pretty excited. Now on to the Lone Star. With the 75 its slowest speed is well above trolling speed, 5 mph if i recall.

So headed south on business in a couple weeks and when i do i hit the CL. Got a line on a 7.5 and a 4.5. The former is pristine and the latter is nice.

Is the 7.5 too much for the 16' tin boat? I'd prefer the 4.5 i think, but the other is damn near brand new

If your just going to use it as a kicker, you could always reduce the pitch on the prop if it trolls to fast. Make sure there won't be to much weight back there with a 75 and a 7.5, there could be some heavy weight for a 16' boat!
