Another minkota problem

I have a one year old Fortrex 24v 80lb Minkota on my Ranger Comanche. The motor is getting power to the foot pedal but not putting anything out the other side. I have checked the momentary/off/cont switch and they have checked out. The only thing I see that I don't know the parameters to are the speed control knob and the engagement pedal. I will go try an assumed set of parameters on the speed control. I have even checked the little fuse on the top of the motor.

Well first things first... :welcome: to iboats. Always great to have a new member joins us.

Okay it sounds like you are saying that you have power going into the foot section, but nothing from the foot section to the head unit. If that is correct, then at least you have isolated your problem to the foot control unit.

Not familiar with that model, is there any control circuit boards or modules in the foot section, or is it just switches? If so then we need to see where the power is dropping out.

Where did you read the power going in to the unit and the lack of any power coming out? And are you able to trace the wires in the foot section? Also, how familiar are you with basic electronics and using a meter?

Post some pictures of your foot unit, both inside and out, for everyone to see what you are dealing with. Pictures always help get answers quicker...
