I have a 04 Lund Pro Anger 16 aluminum fishing boat with a Yamaha 75hp four stroke (F75TLRB)
The prop is an aluminum Yamaha 13.5X15

At WOT the engine runs around 61-6200rpm, should be 55-6000
At idle boat speed is at 2.5mph

Can you help me select a prop that will lower WOT rpm's and slow idle speed

Another question; 13.5 is the diameter, 15 is the pitch. Correct?

Re: Another newbie question

Leave it alone. When heavily loaded the prop you have will be just right. 200 RPM over the limit is not an issue. Besides, you can throttle back a little if it really bothers you.

Ayuh,.... That is Correct....

Unfortunately,.... Lowering your WOT rpms requires the next step Larger pitched prop,...
Which will probably Increase your Trolling Speed....
Protecting the motor from Over-reving should be priority 1,...

Your trolling speed can be lowered by dropping in Trolling Bags, or Drift Socks(same things, different names),.. I used to use them all the time till I changed my set up... What I found worked Best with the Socks, is to tie them off on the forward cleats,... It keeps them up beside the boat, rather than behind the boat, in the way of Catching fish.....
