I have a Harris Flotbote, 1995 24" with a Volvo Penta 3.0. the motor started overheating, I have replaced the raw water pump and have great water flow after the pump, I also replaced the thermostat, and water pump on the engine, took out last night and it overheated again, I did replace the belt to the raw water pump and alternator, did not replace the belt to power steering. while on the water, I noticed that the belt to power steering was slipping a lot. I did notice the belt is worn a lot. Question is that belt runs off the crank and goes around water pump on motor, if it is slipping will that cause some overheating problems?

Re: Another overheating problem

The belt splipping wont cause an overheat condition. First thing I would check would be ALL your connections and make sure all clamps are tight. If you have a loose hose clamp that will allow the engine to suck air and will give you a overheat condition.
