Ok i just make it back to the dock dejected beyond all belief cause my head went on the motor. Didn't know it at the time, but my boat was spitting a milkshake at me out the pvc tube.

Any way i'm standing on the dock, holding the boat at the dock, my boat won't start and theres this old rinker with a old oriental guy standing on the dock holding his boat at the dock.

I'm waiting for my friend to pull up my car and back in the trailer.

And i see the back of the rinker sinking lower and lower.

Along comes a younger oriental guy i assume parked his rig. and jumps in the boat.

The younger guy is talkin vietnamese to the older guy, and i say to the younger guy as he's crankin and crankin his inboard, Yo your drive ain't all the way down and why are you sinkin forgot the plug?

Well it was like Ho ching ming trail all over again. 40 years ago i was there.

Cursing and screaming cause another 2 vietnamese show up.I say to the younger guy cause now the water is comming onto the floor way over the bilge, What you looking at jump in and put the plug in.

The older guy takes off his pants has briefs on and a tee shirt with the american flag on it and dives in with the plug.

He can't get the plug in. I said stick your finger in the hole what you want me to do put hair around it?

The other 3 guys are in the boat and no one turns on the bilge pump so it's sinkin faster.

Mind you i got my own problems with my pos.

So my friend shows up and we have to wait till the dock clears so i can back it in and hook up the electric winch.

The old guy gets in the plug and jumps out and takes off his tee shirt and is standing there with his briefs soaking wet and starts gabbing back and forth with the other guys while hes on the swim platform of the rinker.

I said is anyone going to turn on the bilge pump.

So i say what is it your talkin vietnamese?

And like he was in his living room the old guy says how you know what were talkin?

I said i was there and i thought i was never gonna here that s--t again as long as i live.

I turn my back on them and the dock cleared and i pulled my boat.

In my driveway we pulled the head with the manifold and discovered my head went.

Just thought i would share this little event.

PS i need a head used maybe 2.5L freshwater maybe?

It's amazing how rational thought can go out of the window when an emergency situation hits !!!!

I don't know, but I hear Vietnamese all the time. Lots of folks who worked very hard on our side are in this country now. Most are US citizens. Same with the Hmong. Bunch of them in my area. I learned a little of the language, so I can talk with them a little, especially the old folks.

Trouble with boats and plugs aren't limited to immigrants, it seems to me, based on what I read in this section.

Maybe that old Vietnamese guy fought alongside someone you knew. Could even have saved his life, eh?
