I have a 1988 75hp Evinrude that's locked up. Have a chance to pick up both a 70 hp and 75 hp (1977) Johnson for fairly cheap. First question is will the 77 fit on the 88 year model. Second question is would the 1977 70 hp powerhead work on the 1988 75 hp or would that create carberator and firing problems. Thanks, any help appreciated.
