<br /><br />He died early this am of a pulmonary embolism.<br /><br />He was one of the best.<br /><br />He will be missed by this member. :(

That is really sad to hear. I enjoyed his coverage of the news. He will be missed. Prayers go out to his loved ones....

No problem boatingfool, being in the media business myself, it just strikes a little close to home although I am not involved in that part, it is still part of the media.

David Bloom had that Minnesota Nice, and will be missed here, one of our own that would have went a long loong way given the oppertunity.

He had been riding in a cramped tank, so blood probably stagnated in legs and clotted. I always thought him to be one of the best reporters. Sad deal. Gotta credit him for his guts. He didn't have to accept that assignment and put himself in harms way along with our troops.
