First, thanks for all the great info; I practically built a service manual from all the postings here. I have a 7.5 Clinton K7503107D / XTV52207. My question is about the "gears" (for lack of the correct name) that engage the drive shaft when the lever is shifted from neutral to forward. My set is worn and I'd like to see if CEPCO has them. Does someone have a part number for me? My other question is about the carb, would some have the basic settings for the adjustments - I think I might have tweaked them too much.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Another Sea King 7.5 Question

Motors are equiped with several different carbs. Those equipped with a tillotson MT carb initial setting is 1 turn open on high speed and 3/4 on idle.
Motors with other carbs (not made clear what) idle screw is 2 turns open, high speed 1 1/2.proper final adjustment should be done under load.
