My 1993 carbed DT200 ran fine but would not go above 3000 rpms. No warning lights were on, no surges or stalls. Figured it was an ignition problem or one of the sensors limiting the revs. Swapped out all the electrical components from a parts motor, disconnected the sensors, etc, and no fix. Finally took off and dismantled and cleaned the carbs ( it is easy to get them off and not have to screw with the linkage too much) Top carb had a little junk in the bowl but the other two were clean to the eye. Anyway spayed carb cleaner and compressed air in all the passages and put them back on. Problem solved - back up to running at 5500.
Just wanted to post my solution. Appreciate all the info I get here.
