I?m looking for some anti-slip material like hydro turf or seadek. I am wondering if any of you out there have found another substitute that is durable.

Teak wood is the original non-skid material. Nuteak is another manufactured material. Awlgrip and Kiwigrip make paintable non-skid.

It might help to understand the type of boat this is being considered for, and the type of boating you do. There is mention of 'durable'. Have you used something else in the past with less than expected results? How 'durable' are you looking for? The reason I ask is, what I'd recommend for a ski boat is different than what I'd recommend for a fishing boat. What I'd recommend for a tinny, will probably be different than an offshore battlewagaon. Just a few thoughts.

Oh and what do you have for non-skid now? anything?

This boat will be used as a ski boat 80% of the time with fishing being the other 20%. What I meant by being durable is I would like for it to last a few years. I’m not into the roll on paint kind just looking for some option to hydroturf and seadek. They seem kinda high for what your actually getting. At lease that’s my opinion.

I currently don't have anything on the back which becomes very slick.

+1 on the SeaDek. Had mine for 3 years now and it still looks like the day I put it on. Another good thing about SaeDek is it does get hot, it don't even get warm and I boat in the desert heat. One the best bangs for the buck and worth every penny. You ask me it's a no brianer
