Try the Arima Boat Owners Group, http://groups.msn.com/ArimaBoatOwnersGroup

More Arima info than you can shake a stick at.

By the way, I've been reading this board for years, but this is the first time I've ever posted. I have an Arima Sea Ranger 17, and I feel pretty fortunate to have it.

Jinx

I, too, have an Arima and would highly recomend the Arima boat owners group as a source of info. I would bet that someone on the group has a setup you are looking at or has thought about it and can tell you the pros and cons.
I bought a 17 Sea Ranger last fall and I am in the process of repowering with a 90hp Yami 4 stroke. Can't wait to get it done and on the water!

That sounds like an aweful lot of weight to put on the back of a 15 footer. Most boats that size do well with around 40 hp. Charlie

By the way I hate to knock any manufacturer but i know a few people that have suzuki and hate them. The common problem seem to be that they require more repair than most and there are very few people who repair them.An outboard mechanic also told me that the metal in the block is very thin.Just passing along what i had heard for what it is worth.Charlie

I have a Honda 90 on the back of my 17 Sea Ranger and would recommend it. Quiet, and I don't miss the 2 stroke fumes at all.
