I could tell ya all about the area. I was raised here and after playing GI Joe for 9 years here I am back in paradise. I got a waterfront 3br 2 1/2 ba 2 1/2 gar with fireplace and hot tub, 8k lift on a direct access saltwater lake off Matlacha. paying 1365 with lawn care. there are some good rentals in the yacht club area. houses are a little older but the access to the river and out to Sanibel is nice. I found Craigslist to be the best resource. and you can barter with private owners. The drywall thing is pretty much over. And that only affected houses built in the early 00's.
