i'm looking for an online mailorder shop, ideally in the uk that sells carb kits that would suit my evinrude, also i would be replacing the coils and points ,condensor etc, do any of you know the best place?

I know prices over there are high, but the best place to go for the carb kit is your local J/E dealer. The aftermarket carb kits that fit your's do not come with a modern fuel tolerant float to replace the troublesome cork one. I'm only 99% sure but it should be 439071 - I can't find that oddball engine on any carb kit chart. It might be simpler to tell them it's a '67 18hp or a '56 15hp. The online retailer maxrules springs to mind (I believe he exports) as a source in America for OEM J/E parts.
