I have been looking for a change of boat.

A dealer is offering a reasonable incentive on a 'demonstrator' model of Chaparral 204 Xtreme.

This 'ticks the boxes' in terms, or overall length, beam, configuration ... and is fitted with 5.0L DTS 260hp with a Bravo3 drive.
It does not have the Tower shown on the Chaparral website ... which is a black thing that looks like it has been hit by an ugly stick.
The Tower looks more like what they fit to the 224

Initial concern is the vee of the hull, all my boating in in-shore, and often that means we are out when there is some chop on the water ....... although as it's watersports use, we don't go out in big water.

The deadrise is only 18 degrees and draft with engine up is only 13" .... that appears to be a shallow boat.

How do they handle in less than flat water ?
