this is yet another bugaboo keeping me from the water ... my mother has taken over a bar (woo hoo, cept I am on a diet and CANT DRINK, ::sobbin::

anyway, its an old dive, and it has an old cooling system with a cooling tower ... hot water in the top, splash down a sluice system with air blasting thru it, and cooled water pooling in the bottom to go back to the evaporators inside

clever Idea

back in aught six or so, well, maybe 1940

sixty some years later, the old girl is up to bat for what is likely the last season of the sixty year old bar, no sense putting many thousands of dollars into an old dinosaur like this, the location alone is going to summon the likes of a hard rock cafe or hooters, something with flash for the trash, lol, instead of trash waiting to flash

anyway, the tower is made of metal ... was once made of metal, and has since converted back to base form, ferris oxide

I used marine tex on the larger holes, but they are everywhere.

Naturally, I had a thought

would the roll on liners they have out for pickups have a decent amount of build on these vertical walls? if I get it thick enough, its like a vinyl side for the steel, an outer liner that should hold the water in ... there is no pressure, its a gravity feed from top to bottom, no pressure at all on the rusted areas

the supply pump, different story - no sweat tho

any ideas on where to get this product, and how well it might work in this application? the water is maybe 120 degrees on the hot side

once THIS is out of the way, I get going on the BOATS, woo hoooo

thanks!
