I have a 1994 Force 120 .I noticed this hose and it wasn't connected on the opposite end. I found the place behind fuel pump I think is where it goes. When motor is running after a few minutes that hose appears to be sneezing.
and its kind of a oily discharge. I've looked all over the manual
and cant find out what its for. Anyone know what it is and what it does ? And the correct hookup ?

Thanks

That is one of the fuel recirculation hoses. It goes to a "T" connection (#3) at the bottom of the cylinder drain cover just to the right of #2 by-pass cover, then up to a fitting on the #1 By-pass cover.

It's purpose is to drain off excess fuel that has puddled up in the By-Pass passages at idle and low speeds.

pnwboat Thank You ! Is it suppose to spit or sneeze kinda like releasing steam? I had not noticed this before until a few days ago. Should I do anything to it or just leave alone ? Should it have atie strap or clamp on it ? When i connected to the place behind the fuel pump it blew it off .

I will try to get a picture this afternoon once it stops raining here. I found a nipple with nothing on it kinda behind the fuel pump.
there was nothing plugged into that nipple so I assumed it went there. The same sneeze comes also from that nipple when the
hose isn't connected behind the pump. Infact when it was connected to that nipple it blew it off after a couple of minutes.
Maybe I will try to post a short video of it instead this evening. By the way it only happens while at idle on the water hose.
