Re: Any one taken off there winter cover yet?

A couple weeks ago we had a bigger snow storm the they did out west (there biggest in twenty years) a couple days ago. March storms are famous in this area.
My problem is if I don't get outside soon my wife is going to make me start the kitchen remodel. I figure that it will take me about a month (depending on work,I am a sub contractor) and I don't like to have two projects going on at the same time. With two kids under three, the kitchen has to be done as quick a possible with no interruptions. If I start it there wouldn't be any time to take the boat out of its artic hibernation. Plus there is all that stuff I bought off of e-bay over the winter to install. With the winter top off a least it would look like I was doing something.

I still have a lawn full of the white stuff and Waiverly Beach still has alot of ice on the beach. Should be gone soon after the rain starts. Cover won't come off for at least another 2 weeks. Then it's time to install the outdrive and burn out the fogging oil (while the neighbo(u)rs are out).

Also, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has to take the ice damn out of the upper Niagara River

Marinas around here do not open until mid April.
Even then there could be a couple nights that are still below zero. If only my garage was 4 feet longer and the garage door 2 feet higher then I wouldn't worry about the elements.

Decisions, decisions; Nice to dream about SUMMER though!

Thanks,
Mike

Never put the cover on. Been out fishing every day it hasn't rained since October. About 10 times. Actually, Feb was pretty dry. Don't mind the cold (45 Degrees), but don't like to be wet and cold.

Jerry
