I knew it would come eventually. I do freelance web design outside of my normal software QA job.

I picked up a mobile marine dock and boat guy as a client. I am not promoting myself , merely asking for some critique from the general population.

Miller Mobile Marine

I think this is by far my masterpiece, although it's still a work in progress. I think I am going to make the form simpler, with just Your Name, # Email and Type of Service...and make it bigger so it's easier to read.

My wife is going on her 15th year in business doing websites and graphics design, what do you want an opinion on your work?

I like it myself, although if I had one comment: We also run a top of the line fishing guide services : if they run multiple services I'd drop the "a" if a single service drop the "s"

Nice looking site. My critique of it ...

First, the negative: Pricing and Our Services not working, no place to saw where they are located or what their service area is (at least I didn't see it), a bit busy with all the changing of screens, some of the sentence structure seemed awkward.

Now the positive: The background is cool, it looks good and clean, pages, although some don't load, are easily recognized.

In truth, I did not STUDY every page, but the quick glance was nice overall.

One thing that is very important in today's market, is how many people use mobile devices, although it looks nice the sliding background setup would drive a tablet or Iphone crazy.

Service Area on the last (5th) slide. I built the "master template" and now I am going to build out all of the child pages and add content.

As for the sentence structure, I inherited the content from another agency. No excuse and yes I need to reword some sentences.

I need to "scrape his coverage area on Google Maps for Lake Names, City Names and County Names... then separate down for docks...fun!

I tried to optimize all of the images to speed it up a bit, I guess I have some more work to do.

Watching TV, talking to the wife, and doing iboats ... I totally missed the 5th slide. Personally, I prefer sites that when I click the "Contact Us" page I have the choice of email, phone, and a mailing address ... just saying that is my personal preference. Makes me feel more comfortable with the business.

Well, I kept clicking on things, expecting to be taken somewhere and nothing happened, at least on this computer with IE7. Some places looked like they should be links to other stuff but nothing happened. So I fired up the laptop which has IE9 and it was a whole new world. I don't know if you've been following the problems Iboats had with the last update vis a vis IE7. IE7 just doesn't play nice with most of the new web development tools. IE7 is a dinosaur and I don't know if it's worth your while to do the necessary workarounds to make it work or if it's even possible. Still some glitches here on iboats for IE7 users.

Basically, with this computer I can see the page, I just can't do anything with it.
