any tips for manual lifting of outdrive

I have a mercruiser with a busted hydralic pump. Can't get it fixed for 3 weeks but still want to use the boat. With another guy I lifted the outdrive up and put the plastic covers on to keep it up. Once i remove those covers, the outdrive drops like a rock. Any ideas of what i could use (any winch or lift arrangement?) to lift the outdrive up by myself ? Thanks

Try beaching it and letting the sand push it up.Charlie

For hauling you could use a rope tied to each aft cleat or eye.
