I was doing compression test on my 92 Four Winns OMC 5.8L Cobra yesterday. I removed all 4 plugs on starboard side but have no success to put tester tube in any one of the cylinders. The test tube is a 14" rubber with thread for cylinder side. Because the angle and tight space from exhaust manifold (EM), I wasn't able to put the tube in anyone of the cylinder. Does anyone have any tricks, tools or removal of EM is necessary to get this job done?
Thanks in advance.

It's a ***** and I have no words of wisdom. I promised myself that next time the manifolds were coming off.

Many thanks to your input. I guess finding a quick disconnect elbow or adaptor with correct thread will give me the best chance without remove the manifold. I will post back if I ever come up with one.
