Not a thing here in Central Kentucky, but then again, I've been on the road quite a bit today.

That's a pretty good shaker, guys. We had one in the southern part of the state last week too. A 5.5. http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs/
Do you Kentukians get those often? I didn't know that about you.
Bassy

We have a major fault line in the western part of the state. I believe it is the New Madrid fault line if I'm not mistaken. Earthquakes in the central and eastern part of the state are much more rare. Maybe once every five to six years one is felt. The largest one I remember was back in the early 80's. It was a magnatude 5.x quake and the epicenter was maybe 10 miles from where I live and the only one I remember where there were actual aftershocks. All I remember is the rumbling, a loud thunderous sound almost like a bunch of dynamite being set off continuously and stumbling a bit when it hit.

http://neic.usgs.gov/neis/eq_depot/usa/1980_07_27_iso.html

Have felt a half dozen or so in my lifetime and I live very near the New Madrid fault line. If you have never experienced an earthquake, I can tell you that it is a very unnerving experience to have the ground under your feet turn into Jello. It is flat out weird.

Very weird I agree Relentless. Been there, done that. Not fun at all,but I'd sure take it over a tornado or hurricane anyday. Just my opinion.
Bassy

We have felt the shocks here in Ohio at times. I live in the Cincinnati area and I remember the one in the 80's very well.

I have also been in California when a quake hit.
