I heard some e-mail providers are blocking the responses-thinking they are SPAM.

Re: Anybody Registered For "No call"

Luckily, New York started one about two years ago, I think. I signed up for it and it reduced telemarketer calls by about 99%. I really was surprised by how well it worked. Before that, we relied on an answering machine to screen all our calls. Still do, but the phone rings a lot less often now. :D :p

Yea Kentucky has had one now for about a year and I can tell it has helped some, but it never hurts to have a back-up plan.

Registered late last night and my confirmation was waiting for me in the morning. Now lets just hope it works.

I have not signed up for that one yet. Wisconsin started one and I signed up for it. It took effect in January.

Before January, 90% of all calls to my phone were telemarketers. Not unusual to have 5 to 6 calling a night. They even started in on Sunday.

I have had two since January. Both apologized and one even sent a letter of apology. I highly recommend it.

Finally got my confirmation-about 48 hours too. I registered three numbers, maybe that was the reason for the delay?

Re: Anybody Registered For "No call"

I only did 1 number.

The delay was server overload I'd guess.

Think about it...About a billion people calling or e-mailing at the same time?

CRASH!

Now, do you think the telemarketers will GET A CLUE that the American populus does NOT want to be bothered with their garbage?

H.
