i really like the idea of removing the motor from the transom and having a large swim platform on the back of the boat. i have a 16 foot center console with a 50hp evinrude which we use mostly for swimming and exploring the local islands. so getting in and out of the boat is a daily operation, many times over.I want to know if anybody has similar setup or has one of these and how they like or dislike them...

also, how the heck do they mount to the boat? im guessing through bolted from the transom and into threaded holes in the platform...?

any info is greatlt appreciated.

thanks

m ikey link to pic if pic doesnt show.....click here ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

,,,

No, but I always wondered why they all weren't made with an integrated swim platform like that one you're showing. Even if you never get in the water it's a nice place to stand when workin on the motor or fightin a fish! Nice.

Ok, I'm missing something...if you take the motor off to put this on the transom...where does the motor go?

On the other end. Just like a jackplate.
