anybody with smarttabs on a bayliner 175?

I've got a bayliner 175 that I love; but, I need it to plane sooner so that my youngest will feel comfortable in a tube.<br /><br />The integrated swim platform is great; but, there's hardly any distance from the bottom of the hull to the bottom of the swim platform... It doesn't seem like there's anyway to get the actuators to fit properly. Even if I can get past that, I'm curious about the tie-down straps. They connect to an eye-bolt on the stern, down around the stern-edge of the hull and connect to the trailer.... seems like the strap crosses the back edge right where I would image the tabs would be.<br /><br />Thanks for any feedback.<br /><br />--Hise

Hise;<br /><br />Take some measurements and call me at 800-233-0194.<br /><br />The plates are 12" wide and 9" deep, the actuator need to mount about 10 1/2" up from the center of the plate, at right angle to the plate. In some cases we have been able to reduce this and in other we have mounted to the bottom of the swim plat form.<br /><br />Just to give you a bit of comfort, your boat will stay on plane at about 13 to 15 MPH once you have installed the Smart Tabs. Currently you are at 20 MPH or more. The bow rise before planing speeds (before the 13 to 15 MPH) will be less than half your current level. About 6 degrees with the tabs, and it is now about 15 degrees.<br /><br />Call me we will work it out.
