Winterize? What's that? Never heard of it. I can't believe you're gonna park it when we are still swimming....... :D:p

Sorry couldn't help it. I really feel for you guys that have to give up boating half the year.

Re: Anyone else?

I have till October 15th to get out of my slip, so I'm staying in as long as possible, then it's time for winterizing.

Re: Anyone else?

That's so sad :(

We still hit the island every weekend. 91 air temp, 84 water temp, no clouds, grilling, beer, music, friends...

Maybe I should consider moving to upstate NY and forget this boating garbage...:D

Re: Anyone else?

Starting about now I drain my block just in case I don't get back for awhile (it's on a lift so doesn't benefit as much from water temperature).

I won't pull it till the end of October though.

Re: Anyone else?

Yesterday was a beautiful, if unseasonably warm 80 degrees. But I too must now start paying more attention to the low temperature forecast- frost is probably a few weeks out but could happen anytime.
I love fall here, except for the part of boat season coming to an end!

Re: Anyone else?

Just getting into the comfortable riding season down here in Houston. It has been so hot that there are days you come home early because you are tired of sweating. Still in the 90s everyday, but we are starting to get cool fronts that lower the humidity. Another couple of them and it will be brisk in mornings, beautiful and warm in the day, and the water will be cool and refreshing, and not just wet and warm.

Easily ski into November around here, depending on if we get a hard string of really cold fronts.

I have jetskied on Christmas day several years in the past. Sometimes i wear a wetsuit.

We have very few weekends where we cannot be on the water, if not IN the water.

Just getting cool enough here to enjoy the boat.
Mine has been parked for the last several months.....just too dang hot to go out.
I usually wrap mine up for the Winter in late November..

Re: Anyone else?

I just moved from Upstate NY to NC and am glad I'm not thinking that way right now. The water has cooled a little to 75, but when the temp is still high 80's, that's refreshing. I am wondering if I need to winterize anything all if I want to go fishing through the winter? I guess I need to start another thread for that, but I can wait a while.

Re: Anyone else?

I used to keep my cuddy in untill mid October but it had a closed cooling system. Thinking of pulling the BR out in two weeks. The water should keep the inside of the boat above freezing. A couple years ago I had to sweep 3 inches of wet snow off to pull it out.

Early November is when I have to get off my mooring here in CT. Wish it would stay warmer longer.
